In honor of the name of our blog we decided to put up the first entry about the hype of things made by advertisements in our lives.
Take just one look around you..
If you are standing on a busy street you might be able to notice the huge blaring signboards saying anything from say.. the above to content that might actually mean something.
If you are at home and have browsed the newspaper then you could not have missed the page long advertisements from Zara announcing a sale with the tag line "It's finally here!!"
(One would caution Zara that this is exactly the same line used by the British when the American battleships docked in British ports during the Anglo American war of 1812.. old timers, assuming they lived this long would actually fear the sale ). Clearly, an adevertising disaster !!
Advertising is a form of communication that is used to encourage or persuade to continue or take some new action. Advertising in todays time has been misused. It does little to inform or lightly titillate the senses.. it blasts the senses out of our heads.
A good advertisement is one that sells the product without drawing the attention to itself. What use is an advertisement if it creates self doubt? There are many other ways to make people spend money where they don't need to, isn't it? Like ransom notes for one.. Or.. on gunpoint.
The entire crux of this, is to inform you to be aware of the hype over things.. Our advice..
TRUST YOUR GUT
IF ITS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE.. ITS PROBABLY FAKE
Stay Safe and remember its not possible to regrow hair or lose weight in a day!!
